Solid Construction

Quality construction is key when building and designing children’s furniture. This product is constructed from solid wood (no MDF or particleboard is used). All aspects of this bed were first designed using 3D software, which ensures that the overall design of the bed is sound and all safety issues are properly addressed. Plantation-grown furniture grade Pine is used in construction, making this bed extremely strong.

Discovery World Furniture products come with comprehensive instructions that will have your new piece of furniture assembled with ease. Our products are shipped in as few pieces as possible, allowing for simple installation right out of the box. All needed hardware is labeled and included in the instructions to help make assembly smooth, and straight forward.

White Finish

White sounds simple but there are 1000’s of variations of white. Discovery’s white is a true pure white. White is a complex finish and if applied correctly, requires multiple steps in the sealing process on solid wood and is typically more expensive. In our case, white is a 6 step finish and is top-coated with a mild sheen. While Discovery utilizes MDF on non-structural areas of our white furniture, the use of solid wood is required to insure structural integrity and safety. Isolating and sealing the knots is the key to a quality white finish on solid wood. Discovery has a developed a cost effective white finish and is a true value in the white youth marketplace. All of this considered, Discovery’s white, or any other manufacturers white finish is finicky. Expect minor imperfections and understand that a perfect white finish on solid wood is not attainable.

Trundle Features

The twin trundle includes a wood slat kit, making it mattress ready. It can accommodate a 6.5″ mattress and assembles in minutes via the use of 4 bolts.

Drawer Details

All drawers feature a European roller drawer glides with a positive stop. These glides will provide silky-smooth operation and the positive stop prevents the drawers from being pulled out and falling to the ground if pulled too hard. The inside measurement of each drawer is 15.75″ D x 21 3/8″ W x 4″ T.

Headboard

Whether you need storage for toys, books or magazines, this bed has you covered. The headboard has built in shelves for all of your storage needs. 2 built-in USB ports are also located in the center for convenient device charging.
