The aluminum door is pulled down by the GRAVITY of door‘s weight, it moves very slowly, typically providing enough time for the chicken to get out of the way, also the door weighs less than a pound, so even if it rested on top of a chicken, it would pose no harm, which is not like the mechanism of directly drive openers(linear actuator) that the door is pulled down by EXTERNAL STRONG FORCE driven by a motor.

Our Kebonnixs chicken door opener combining both a Timer and a Light Sensor, this gives you the ultimate in flexibility for controlling the coop door over how and when you want the coop door to be opened or closed. Easy to setup with an integrated LCD screen for straight forward setting and adjustment.

When coop door is closed properly at night, the door closed indicator green light on the front panel of the control box will flash every 30 seconds to let you know at a distance that the door has closed, no need to rush to the chicken coop to check!

We have provided all the necessary material to build a sliding aluminum door, simply following the instruction manual to attach the door kit to the opener and you are ready to go!

How to adjust the dark sensitivity if i want the door close later than the nightfall?

If your coop is in a dark environment (i.e. pointing due west or in shadow of a big tree), which may cause the door close a little too early than the actual nightfall, if this happen in your case, you can enter into the “close light value” adjustment to lower the light value for closing the door, then next day the door will close a little later, the lower “close light value” you set, the late the door will close.
