Figuring out of a store in Union Metropolis, N.J., Christopher Miano discovered a worthwhile area of interest making every part from customized furnishings on fee to ornamental props for photographers. However when Covid struck and work bought tight, Miano determined to construct a line of speculative furnishings, aiming to mix sculptural concepts with good craftsmanship. “I needed to design one thing that lightened the temper in that tough time,” he says, “one thing that will carry a smile to your face—and make you marvel the way it was made.” Together with his suite of squiggly furnishings, whose serpentine shapes are sawn from the strong and routed spherical, he’s completed simply that.
